184 Songs and Ballads
To watch the ocean waves that roll, Against that rock bound shore,
And meet his genial proprietor Our honored, E. S. Moore.
8 Of William Fenley now I speak
In life was just and true, With Freeman Higgins whose youth was spent
In pleasant hours with you; And Capt. Frank Connor, that man of worth
Who labored hard each day, There watched his pleasure yachts glide o'er
The waves in Frenchman's bay.
9 I wish to speak of Mrs. May
A noble name it's true, And Mrs. Montgomery Sears,
Who's also known to you; She has always stood for the soldier's needs
From Boston she's come down To meet true friends who honor her,
In old Bar Harbor town.
10 And now I '11 pass up to the right,
There standing Mooseley Hall, The home of Howard in this life,
Whose name was known to all; And as I gaze upon that scene,
Of memories ever dear, I think of loved ones gone before
And drop the silent tear. |
